Option 1. Search multiple criteria using “or”
Option 2. Search multiple criteria using “and”
Option 3. Filter hazard traits from selected authoritative lists
Option 4. Search chemicals that are unique to the selected criterion
Searching by a string of numbers or text will search for a match within the chemical name, chemical group name, or CAS RN fields of the database.
Searching by a string of numbers or text and selecting “search group names” will only search the chemical group name field, and the search results page will return results for all chemicals that are in the identified group(s).
To filter the data for hazard trait(s) or authoritative list(s), select “more search options”. There are three search options:
1. "or" - For example, show chemicals that are carcinogenic or mutagenic
2. "and" - For example, show chemicals that are carcinogenic and mutagenic
3. "filter hazard traits by authoritative list" – Example include: show chemicals that are carcinogenic and on EC Annex VI – Cat 1A (one hazard trait, one authoritative list); carcinogenic or mutagenic, and on EC Annex VI – Cat 1A (two hazard traits, one authoritative list); EC Annex VI – Cat 1A (no hazard trait, one authoritative list)
4. "Search chemicals that are unique to the selected criterion" - For example, show chemicals that are only listed on EC Annex VI – Cat 1A
To view the hazard trait(s) and authoritative list(s) that are the basis of the listing, select the chemical name or CAS RN in the search result. Additional information is found on the resulting “Candidate Chemical Details” page.
